After over 24 hours of labor, my sister-in-law, Tamara and my brother-in-law Cory finally got to meet their sweet little Emma Jane on Monday, July 27th. I got to be there for the entire experience and it was truly amazing!!! Tamara and Cory both did an amazing job and it was so neat to see them bond through this experience...I am so proud of them both! I think I have finally caught up on my sleep after not sleeping for almost 2 days....it was so worth it though!!! And now, I am finally an Auntie!!! Woo-hoo! Mama Tamara and Emma

My blogging buddy...
Have I told you about one of my most favorite bloggers? Well, if I didn't, I apologize. This is Miss Kasey Buick from http://lolabboutique.blogspot.com/. She also owns a little online shop called Lola B's. She is fabulous and has the most divine style. No, I have never met her, but I feel like she is my friend.....maybe someday I will get to fly to Illinois and attend one of her "at home" events like she is having this weekend. She opens up her beautiful home and you get to go shopping...wow, that would be fun!!! Anyways, I just thought I would share her with you.....

Inspired...
I am so inspired by this space....we just moved the kids playroom to a different (bigger) room upstairs and I love this room.....I love the eclectiveness (is that a word?) and the potential it has to have little children enjoying this room. I am also working on an Amy Butler quilt (similar) to the one shown on the bed....by the way, did you notice the bed? It is made out of crates...so genius and creative!!!

In Celebration!
So a few months ago I began composting...a little unsure if it would really work. Well, yesterday, I walked out into my backyard and gave my composting bin a little peek and inside there was compost...I screamed in excitement and nearly scared my husband to death. I said, it worked, it really worked!!! We then had a glass of wine and said cheers to composting.... Where we started from....putting our veggie and fruit scraps along with coffee grounds and eggshells in the composting pail. (The stainless steel one from Williams-Sonoma works best and there is no smell)
