The Launch

I showcased some of my photography last weekend at a local salon in town. It was a group of four women, (me included) who are all trying to get their businesses up and going. We did a wine and cheese party at the salon with music and raffles...it was a blast!!! I am so blessed that so many of my friends and of course my mom and dad were able to make it! It was a great turnout!!! Did you know I have a website? I bet you didn't. It is still under a bit of construction, but for now, you can get the idea!

Family

This is one of my best friends and her beautiful family. I photographed them on Sunday in the sweltering heat. We were all sweating while stumbling over rocks and walking over snake holes and she was in high heels. It was a blast and we had some great laughs...

End of the Summer Salad

Doesn't this salad look scrumptious...it was! I ate every last bit of it topped with my favorite Trader Joes Goddess dressing, because you know I am a goddess or at least pretend that I am. I know I always catch myself saying I need to eat healthier, but then I don't feel like making anything healthy. Well, today, this salad took 5 minutes to make...so, no more excuses!!

Ingredients
Lettuce
Cucumber (from my garden)
Cherry Tomatoes (from my garden)
Avacado
Corn (leftover from dinner the other night)
Blue Cheese Crumbles
Walnuts
3 tablespoons cup of Goddess Dressing

Dolled Up

I did a photo shoot on Tuesday for my friends new website. She does makeup, hair, nails, spray tans and teeth whitening. You can get all Dolled Up in one place. She is fabulous. I had so much fun! Here is a sneak peek of one of the beautiful models....I'll share more later! Peace

Father & Sons

A few weekends ago I photographed a 70th birthday party. It was a lot of fun and the family was so wonderful. This is a photograph of Robert (in the middle) who was the birthday boy and his four sons. They seemed to have so much love for each other...it was a very neat relationship to see and so inspiring!!

Sweet Stella

I snapped a few photos of my friends youngest daughter last week for her upcoming 2nd birthday...she is so stinkin' cute and such a little sweetheart. She is my son's little girlfriend. We sometimes joke that we should set up an arranged marriage...well, until she stuck her finger up her nose...ha, ha!!!!

I Heart You

Yesterday I snapped a few photos of my kiddos with this adorable little chalkboard bubble from RVA...I've had it for a few months now, but finally got the chance to have some fun with it...I love it!!! I can't wait to have more fun with it!

13 little ones...

I know...aren't they absolutely adorable? These are 3 of them..there were 10 more and I got to spend the morning photographing these little ones...They are Multigen Labradoodles. There are 8 girls and 5 boys. They will be available mid-August. They share the same mother as our sweet little Nico. Get more info here.

I got to photograph this sweet family a few weeks ago. They were so sweet and wonderful to work with. Their three little daughters were so adorable!

Sunset after the rain

Oh how I love the sunsets where I live...they are just so amazing and breathtaking...It had just rained and the clouds were moving and the sun was coming out just in time to set....pure, natural, organic beauty....

All in the family...

Since our lives just aren't busy enough...we decided to get a new dog...that now makes three dogs and one cat...it was either have another baby or get another dog...while I love sweet babies, and the thought of being pregnant again sounded kind of nice... I am completely content with my family of four (humans that is)...so we did it...we got another dog and this time a big dog.
We already have 2 Yorkshire terriers, which are great dogs, but we wanted a dog that we could go camping with and that we could take on walks, go on hikes and run with without having to carry at the end. So, this is Nico. He is a Labradoodle (half lab, half poodle). He will soon be my new running partner and my kids best friend. They have already fallen in love with him. Happy Birthday my sweet baby boy! Two years ago today I looked into your eyes and fell in love yet again! Thank you for being the sweetest little thing in my life. I love you!

Lazy afternoons...

Right about now is when I need this (my hot cup of organic chai tea, with a splash of soy cream and a sprinkle of stevia)...kids are napping and if I don't have caffeine, I may be napping soon too...this is what keeps me going during these long afternoons, especially when its raining outside...What keeps you going in the afternoon?

Family

I've known this beautiful family for quite some time. Lisa was the first friend I made when my family and I moved in 1989. She was my neighbor and brought us peaches when my parents began building our house. Her and I have remained friends for over 20 years...we used to do talent shows together, she was in my wedding, she was the one person who I had to have in the room (besides my hubby and mom) when I gave birth to both of my kiddos...we've been through a lot together! I've known her for more than half of my life! And her husband Shawn I've also known forever. They met in elementary school and have been together ever since. Anyways, I had the opportunity to photograph them last week at their house. Aren't their boys just so darn cute? Jack and Ryder. What a beautiful family!!!

Adventures in Suburbia

No, these are not my bags that are packed this time, but my cousins'...they are getting ready to board a plane for Hawaii in 2 hours...I am the one watching their kids while they are gone. Four kids under the age of four for one week....to some of you that is normal life, to me, who is an only child with only two kids it is an adventure...So far so good...I will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck!!

Education is fun!

Previously I have used other editing tools for editing photos.
A few months ago I got Photoshop....when I first got it, my head was spinning....I didn't know where to start. I honestly was afraid of it, like a big, scary monster...
So I decided to take an online Photoshop class through my local community college....Wow! Already, I have learned so much in just a few lessons....I can't wait to learn more.....woo hoo!

Belly Love

Yesterday I did a "Belly" Session with my neighbors and good friends, The Magnusons. We had so much fun! Denise and Garth and Big Brother Jax are expecting the newest little addition to their lives at the end of February. Jax is my kiddos best friend and I repeatedly hear all day, "Can we go to Jaxie's house?' Well yesterday, Rocco got to play with Jax while sister was at school. In between pirates booty and fighting over choo choo trains, we got some very sweet shots....I will share more later, but here is a little sneak peek!

Cupcakes...

So, for my birthday I got a special delivery from my friend from Icing on the Cupcake and then in that same night, my mom brought over another dozen cupcakes from the same place....all I have to say is I feel loved and boy were they yummy.

Yes, I did share, I didn't keep them all to myself...but I could have, although I would then be running around town with a cupcake top (instead of a muffin top)...

Have your heard about what a muffin top is?

When your jeans are so tight that your stomach hangs over your jeans...just like a muffin top...ugh...no thank you!

Anyways, thank you for the birthday love and all of those cupcakes!

Rain, rain go away..

During a break from the rain, we took a little drive over to Nana and Papa's house to run around outside. We even ventured up to the neighbors house to do a little orange picking...there is nothing better than fresh, sweet, juicy oranges...yummy!
