Adult time...

We had the most wonderful weekend away...(minus the 110 degree heat) in Palm Springs. I got to actually read my book (Dan Browns-The Lost Symbol), we got to go shopping, we got to go to dinner and actually eat and talk without interruptions, we got to lay by the pool (for about 10 minutes because it was so stinkin' hot we couldn't stand it), we got to go to a beautiful wedding and we got to nap too, but with all of those wonderful things we got to do, we were both so excited to get home on Sunday and see our little kiddos! Thanks for a fun weekend honey!

Swanky...

The hubby and I are in Palm Springs for a friends wedding...we are having such a great, relaxing time and we are staying in the hippest, coolest, swankiest hotel...this is our room in all of its urban fun! We had the most amazing snack plate last night with organic, homemade pita chips with hummus and the best marinated feta cheese I have ever had, served in little mason jars...oh so yummy! Anywhoo, I will share more with you later, but I just had to say hello! Now we are off to go shopping at the outlet stores and then some pool time before the wedding...

Little Black Dress

I got the dress, I've got the accessories...now I just need to figure out the shoes before my husband and I pack our bags and head to Palm Springs this Friday for a wedding and romantic weekend getaway...

If I were to get married again (to my husband of course) I would want our wedding to look like this one! It is just absolutely beautiful in all of its simple glory! I too, had a backyard wedding in my parents yard, but I just love the way they utilized simple things and made them look absolutely stunning! I also love her dress! Hay bales with old quilts on them for guest seating!

I Believe - A 9/11 Tribute

Hopefully you have taken a moment today to remember 9/11 and all of the people who lost their lives and their loved ones...you are all in our thoughts and prayers!

Back to School...Preschool that is!

Tuesday was Miss Savanna's first day back to Montessori Preschool...finally! Of course she had to strike a pose for me...she was so excited to go back to school and believe me, so was I. Now I can run errands again in peace with just one little person in tow...

Speaking of school,I have to apologize for my absence...I have been working on planning my 10 year high school reunion that is coming up in October...just a note, don't be a Senior Class officer if you don't want to plan your reunion...it has been so hard getting addresses from people...I mean I'm friends with half these people on Facebook, but they are withholding their addresses as if they are famous....an NO, none of them are famous....I'm guessing they just hated high school...but hey, don't take it out on me...anywhoo...sorry to vent...I hope you all have a fabulous day!

The Proposal!

My cousin proposed to his girlfriend this last weekend at a Tainted Love show. If you haven't heard of Tainted Love, (no,not the song, the band) then you are really missing out. They truly are the best 80's cover band around...anywhoo...Lindsay is a huge fan of Tainted Love, so my cousin decided to ask her at one of their shows while they played one of her favorite songs, Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams...she said yes!!! (I apologize for the picture quality...I didn't have much room with all of the people around me, plus it was about 100 degrees in the club and bad lighting) Sweet love!
