Single Ladies???

Well Ladies for Halloween this year I am getting a little creative...I am going to be Beyonce from the Single Ladies video....and yes, I learned the dance too....I'm sure it is going to be as funny as this video shown in the link, but hey, at least it will give people a good laugh...what are you going to be for Halloween?? Class of 1999....

Well, after months of planning, our 10 year high school reunion went off with a bang.... My friend Melanie and I having fun.

We were so relieved it was finally here!

So, when I saw this blouse in the Anthropologie October 2009 Catalog....I knew I had to have it...I tried and tried to think of a special occasion that I could wear it to, because no, this is not a shirt you wear on just any day...not for me at least....not with 2 little kids who drool and snot all over me, let alone wrinkle me....so finally, I realized my 10 year high school reunion would be just the perfect occasion to wear this beauty of a blouse to....and this Saturday it is here! So with this blouse, a pair of my favorite jeans, a cute pair of heels (that I just got in Vegas) and a beautiful new cuff bracelet from Jamie at Simply Me Art that I chose as my prize from winning the Simply Me day from Lola B's boutique, I will enter into my 10 year high school reunion.... And if you're lucky...I might just share a photo of me from high school before the big night....
(And Lindsey....I am so excited to see you.....you better have sharpened up on those cheerleading moves...we might have to bring back the Perfect Cheer!)

Adventure...

Well, we were supposed to be leaving to go to Hawaii last Thursday, but we were flying on standby because we got companion passes from our friends Uncle who is a pilot...we never made it. The flights were so full that there were no room for standby passengers, so we were literally standing in the San Francisco airport looking at all the flights leaving and knowing the clothes we had in our luggage...our choices were Chicago, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Santa Barbara...we didn't have the right clothes for Chicago, so we went for Vegas knowing there were endless possiblities of things to do there and having clothes that would work for the weather...we arrived Thursday afternoon and were there until Sunday morning. We stayed at Paris. While we were there we got to go shopping (since our bags got to go to Hawaii for the day and we did not get them until Friday morning), we got massages, we layed by the pool, ate amazing food, went clubbing (as much clubbing as a couple with 2 kids can do, who are used to going to bed and 10), saw La Reve...quite possibly one of the best Cirque de Soleil shows I have ever seen, and we got to relax...ahhh....it was a wonderful trip! And then...we came home to our kids with the flu...thank you Nana and Papa for taking care of them through the worst of it......

I'm leaving on a jet plane....

Well my friends, the bags are packed and the hubby and I leave tonight for San Francisco to catch a plane in the morning........ to Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii.....I am so excited! I have only been to Hawaii once when I was 15 to babysit for a week. The kids aren't going with us...they are staying with Nana and Papa this weekend. I will miss them dearly, but I cannot wait to be sipping a Pina Coloda on the beach....our wonderful neighbors are going with us....it should be a fun time!!!
