The bags are packed...

The bags are packed and the car is almost loaded....we're off to Sun River Resort in Bend, Oregon for a wedding extravaganza. A family friend is getting married and the whole family is going to celebrate....it will be fun and I am so excited for this vacation...and for some reason, I am really excited about the 7 1/2 hour drive...I don't know why, I just am....maybe because I won't have to chase my kids around and I can actually have a conversation with my husband! Love and hugs to you all...I will be back on Sunday!!!

Sweet Savanna...

She's growing up...Savanna was in her first dance recital last week. She had two shows, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. She did so well and it was too cute. I cried....yes, I'm a sappy mom, but my little girl is getting so big and she was like a natural up on that stage...I am so proud of her....xoxo

We did it....

If you remember, my husband and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary about a month ago . We had been talking about doing it for a while.....and....we did! We went and got tattoos. We both got Koi fish, which we love, but they look very different from each other. His is more "manly" and mine is more dainty and feminine. It hurt and I still can't believe we did it, but we did. Mine is on my forearm and Ryan's is on his calf. Believe me, I've got lots of negative comments about mine, but it's okay....it's my body and it is something we did together....no it wasn't romantic, but fun and something we will always remember.... The manly Koi (drawn freehand by Capt. Lu as he called himself)
Getting mine done by Jessica. Two hours of sitting....
A couple days after it was done....

All dressed up with no where to go....

I just couldn't pass this one up....My sweet little daughter using her art easel as a tent. She's all dressed up with no where to go, but in her pretend tent.....tiara, high heels, bracelets and all.... And she was mad that I was taking her picture....

Soccer camp!

My sweet little daughter had her first week of soccer camp. The camp is being taught by guys from England. So on Monday we arrived at camp and they said hello to Savanna and she looked at them like they were crazy. (I guess it's kind of scary the first time you hear someone from England speak). So I explained to her that they were going to be her soccer coaches this week and I told her their names and explained to her that they talk differently because they are from another country. She seemed to understand and wasn't so afraid of them. Now every night she talks about them and asks me to speak like they do...I do my best, but I know I am not giving the accent any justice. (Please uncle Pete, we need you to come visit). Anywhoo, she did great and loves soccer.... Practicing dribbling...
Head on the ball....

First swim lessons...

After having to tag along to all of his sister's activities, Rocco finally got to do one of his own...swim lessons! He had fun, but only lasted for about 2o minutes until he got cold and started shivering.... Learning to kick his feet....A "good job" kiss from mommy!

Apology accepted???

So, I first have to apologize for not blogging lately. My in-laws were here all last week and then the day they left, I got the stomach flu...ugh! Anywhoo, I'm back and feeling rejuvinated after getting a whopping 14 hours of sleep...man, did I need it!
So, we moved into our new house 9 months ago and I am constantly trying to figure out how do decorate my new little nest...it is slowly getting there (I will post pictures soon of the rooms that are finished-for now!) anyways, as I was watching the Bachelorette and browsing through the Anthropologie website, I came upon this picture. I love everything about this room, especially the color...so what do you think about it? I would love some feedback!!!

Baby Shower for Tamara

The cupcakes were made.... And my little guy wanted one so badly (I even found a little finger mark in the frosting).
The tables were set....
And the ladies came and we played a crazy baby shower game.....
It was hilarious and I'm sure I offended some people by playing it....sorry!

We had a great time, but the only problem is that I didn't get a picture of the pregnant mommy because when you are the host of the party, it is really hard to also be the photographer...

My little man Rocco is obsessed with my candleabra...so much that he climbs up on to the table and plays with it while I'm not watching.....he loves the candles.... And the little shiny crystals that hang off of it....And....I caught him, which he thought was very funny!!!

The fruit of my labor...

This is the first year that I planted a garden of my very own. I told my husband when we decided to buy a house without property that I would not give up having a garden and that I would make our backyard look like a lush, organic secret garden of sorts....well, it is on it's way! This hot pepper is my first harvest....I was so excited, I had to kiss it! And then Savanna wanted to kiss it too!
Yippee a hot pepper!!! I think I am going to make a fresh salsa with it....any good recipes my blogging friends???Alright!!! A thumbs up for the first harvest!!! Yes, I know it is just one little hot pepper, but I have put so much work into watering my little garden each and every day and it is just so exciting!!!
